Bluestreak Technology Appoints New Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer to Deliver on Key Product Initiatives
New Executives Lead the Technology Teams as the Company Expands Beyond Flash® Powered Solutions
MONTREAL (QC), Canada, May 11th 2010 -- Bluestreak Technology Inc., the leader in open Flash® platforms for wired and wireless devices, announced today the appointment of Luc Gagnon as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Executive Vice President and the promotion of Rachad Alao to Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In their new roles, Alao will architect the company’s technology vision and product roadmap and Gagnon will lead the company’s design, development, operations, and support teams to execute upon that strategy.

Alao joined Bluestreak in 2004 and has most recently served as Vice President of Technology and Product Management. Alao led the initial development of the MachBlue™ TV solution, the company’s flagship product for creating user interfaces, applications, and web services for televisions and set-top boxes. He also architected the MachBlue Hardware Porting Kit to simplify the integration and customization of MachBlue into customer environments.
Gagnon brings to Bluestreak Technology over 25 years of experience in the information technology industry. Prior to joining Bluestreak Technology, Gagnon served as Chief Technology Officer and General Manager Canada for Healthvision, a global provider of software solutions for the healthcare industry. He has held various high-level management positions with major software and telecommunication companies, notably Scansoft and InfoSpace.
